Mastery takes 10,000 hours. That separates experts from novice.
However, do we really need to be masters in all realms? Or can we choose the things that we are OK in being a better-than-novice in certain fields, like playing musical instruments and sports?
That’s about knowing your 80/20 rules. What are the critical 20% of the activities that can bring 80% of the mastery? It’s about learning differently, picking the learning techniques with the most impact.
