What If There Is Something Better Out There For Me?

If you live long enough, you’ll make mistakes. But if you learn from them, you’ll be a better person. It’s how you handle adversity, not how it affects you. The main thing is never quit, never quit, never quit. – William J. Clinton

Have you ever asked yourself that question: What if there is something better out there for me?

In another word, it is a question of: Should I hang on or should I go and chase another thing?

It is a question of context.

If you are currently unsatisfied with your life, whether it is about your job, your health, your relationship, the answer is always to seek the greener posture outside.

That would mean if your job is at rock bottom, or your health has hit an all time low. If you are obese and in high risk of getting heart attack, by all means, change!

If it is currently an OK situation for you with your job, you may want to consider it carefully. To change job would mean to leave your current job.

It is a question of opportunity cost. Would the perceived benefits of a new job outweigh the loss from quitting this job?

A few questions to ponder:
What are your passions?
Would the new job lead you to your life’s grander objective?
Would it align you to your life values?
Why are you leaving your current job?
Would you experience the same thing in your new job?
Instead of seeking new job, is there something you should learn to improve on yourself first?

The questions have been posted before you. The question now is, what would you choose?

Choose wisely.
