The life of a man consists not in seeing visions and in dreaming dreams, but in active charity and in willing service. – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
I was browsing through Instagram when I saw this trending hashtag #ShareAMeal.
Unilever is running a campaign to donate 1 million meals to Feeding America.
1 in 5 children in USA experiences child hunger. That is a shocking 16 million children.
You can join in with this charitable cause through your favorite social media platform – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.
Post a selfie with an empty plate with the hashtag #ShareAMeal. Every post, every like and every comment would be counted to the donation by Unilever. Details in the link.
Personally, I believe we can do more than just to like or re-tweet the posts and expect other people to do the donation.
Why can’t we donate it ourselves? Are we that lacking that we can’t contribute?
Tony Robbins, too, has partnered with Feeding America. Through his campaign, he sets a Herculean goal – raising 100 Million meals. But, he can’t do it without you.
It’s a season of giving and sharing.
Spare a thought to those who are less fortunate.
Be grateful of what you have.
What would you do today for the less fortunate ones?
