Magic is believing in yourself, if you can do that, you can make anything happen. – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
The movie was on Channel 5 last Sunday. It’s a story of a con-man who was selfish and greedy and finally realized the prophecy of becoming the Wizard of Oz.
There are many memorable moment in this movie – well, at least to me. Just sharing three of them here.
Glinda: I knew it all along that you had it.
Glinda: No, better than that – goodness.
In our quest to become someone of a true potential, someone to rule the world, someone to be respected, someone with success – we should not forget our true selves. Someone with goodness in our heart.
Oz: I may not be the wizard you have expected. But I may just be the wizard that you need.
In life, we have expectation of how we should live our life. Expectation of what kind of a person we should be. Expectation of how things work. While expectation fuels our aspiration, the reality may be totally different. Something that we need may be wildly different – all because we have never thought of its possibility. Have an open mind.
Oz: I may not be the real wizard.
Glinda: Yes, but they don’t know.
It’ all about white lies. Give others inspiration, give others motivation, give others hope – give others the means to stand up and face another sunrise.
Have you watched this movie? What is the most memorable scene for you?
