What to do when you’re uninspired?

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time. – Thomas A. Edison

It is Friday night. I was thinking what should I write here. A little uninspired. A little lost. A little restless.

Why? That would make a nice blog post. What to do when you are uninspired.

You know there are things that you need to do.
The dreams that you are pursuing.
The career you are in.
The homework or housework staring at your face right now.
The exercise, the lunge, the deadlift, the run.

And yet, there you were. Staring at the ceiling, thinking how should you proceed.

Start small. You have probably overwhelmed your poor little mind. Don’t overstress it. Let it cope with the demand.

Win small. Get consistent small win. Small win is a confidence boost. It improves your ego and make you take upon future challenge.

Just do it. Start anyway. You may lack inspiration. You may lack creativity. Just start it. While you start doing the work, start writing, you may find that the inspiration may come back to you.

It’s hard to explain but you would know it when you are trying it.

Or you can just simply rest. Let your mind calm. Unstressed mind is the best to come up with creative solution. Get a cup of hot green tea while you are at it.

Inspiration comes from doing other things too. The reason is same as above – unstressed mind. Keep your mind occupied on the fun stuff.

Look at the reasons of achieving the things you lacking in inspiration. Is it for your family? Is it for your future? Is it for your pride? It would fuel your actions to act.

What do you do when you are feeling uninspired? What works and what doesn’t work for you?
